That’s what happened with Tuff, I was out west working and mum had to deal with her death. Ken came down and buried her.

I have decided to see how it goes, I am only a 2 hr drive away so if needs be I can pop home to deal with any issues. It’s just too much for me to have to deal with right now, I am not a person to jump at things, I need to analyze and think on things, if I need to do this myself then I want all the facts, I do not want her to be injured further by my incompetence.
:hugs :hugs

In my experience of foxes (RIP Scary) they grab
Sorry, I somehow didn't get all of what I wanted to copy/quote

Yes, foxes tend to take off with the prey. And, yes, like cats, they will bury extra food. I have only once ever had a fox take more than one hen/chicken at a time. That once was a mother fox with kits, she took 3 hens - buried the first 2 in two different locations (1 each at 2 different neighbor's houses) and the third she took off with.

They are much, much more likely to 'take one and run', but if they don't feel threatened at all - and especially if they have kits/pups - will bury the first one and come back for another - again, if they don't, at that time, feel threatened/vulnerable, and there is more 'food' to be had.

That’s great that you have a backup plan where you can pop back home.
Did the Tylenol soaked bread work out alright?

You're are not incompetent. You work beyond belief for your animals. No animal or vet could ask for better :hugs

It's been a far cry from yesterday regarding the weather. We've had freezing fog here this morning ot is currently 3c.
Princess popped out for a short while but decided to remain in her run.

She hollered at me this morning when I opened her run door. So no garden today.
I will put corn out for her later inside the run and some treats through the day.

Turmeric seems to have stopped her runny poop. That and her meaty dinners

Yesterday she came to join me and the cat. She knows she's loved 😍 ❤️

She looks lovely, and I am sure she will be ok outside in some foggy cruddy weather for a few minutes, mine were outside yesterday in the cold and flurries - brats! But they were in and out all day. Soon they won’t be able to go outside once the snow get too deep.
