I went in the coop and asked Dakota if she wanted to come in for the night?
I asked Sir. Jaffar if he was interested also. Neither of them said anything, but showed disgust at the idea.
I asked each of the Rocks… they said NO too.
I went to Hen-Rietta, my final option but she declined as well. She grunted at me as if to say “don’t even ask it!”
I waddled slowly out of the coop, in total despair
And I seldom waddle!

Awwww so sad, but at least you won’t have poop and feathers to contend with!

OMG too cute. Little white chickies in the snow! So glad it wasn’t drifting deeply.

It was wet snow, it’s been around +1C here - it’s just damp and wet snow. Not great for my arthritis. At least the chooks were able to get to some of the clear spots under the trees - I noticed Whiskers sneaking off to the grass up under the Jack Pine in the video

It started to rain here late last night

Yesterday morning was 5c below freezing and I saw the freezing fog floating up our street. It was quiet spooky
