If he was allowed to, Sir Jaffar would stay inside and watch movies all day long. I told him that he has roostering to do with his ladies in the yard. He doesn’t seem to be in much of a hurry to go out!

I think I have the flu. I've been holed up but I sat in a chair all bundled up for a long time with the chickens yesterday. All the Spuds wanted to be on my lap. Well, the real reason is that was preferable to ground level with the Buckeyes. They also think my clothes need inspecting and a lot of fixing-up. Anyway, that was the best part of the day!
Here's the view as I opened the run. Nobody's pooped on the chair, yay! That's what the board is for....

It's not very cold out, but nobody wanted to set foot on any snow. The run door to their protected yard is open, but no.....This is Tedi, who did want to see the view when I opened the coop to clean. Sometimes they'll fly out from there. Not today, thank you!

Happy Monday all! I still have to catch up reading how everyone’s weekend went.

My mother in law has kale popping up all over her garden like weeds, so I grabbed up a couple of huge armloads for the flock. All that to say, Dottie would not give me the time of day for a mugs photo. She was busy

Sweet Albert, however, both loves the camera, and was elbowed away from the kale by the elders.

Wow, Bald Eagle! Never seen one. I just have hawks.

What hawks did to my flock: Killed my RIR Red, a bunch of my light sussex, and all of my ducks I used to have.

No, it's worse than that. It's a weird combination of fruity lollypop hard candy enclosing a Tootsie roll center. Not very good imo, a cheap imitation of how fine chocolate and candied or dried fruit can go nicely together.

This morning. Netting holding up, but the goldenrod grown through it with snow in the middle of the picture is now bending and leaning on the fence. Will clear that.
