I think we've had a coup in the coop.

I went to feed scraps and see if Sheba came through (nope) and was missing a hen! Not just any hen...Meanie!

Tres and the other girls were happily in the run. It took me a bit to find Meanie, who'd squashed herself in this tiny space under the feeders! I touched her and she lost her mind...of course, she's not docile and never let's you touch. She ran outside, but before I could even get to the window, she was back in! I tried to tempt her with mealworms, and she picked at them with Sheba. But, as soon as Tres came in she was back under the feeders.

She looks rough, but not injured. Poor girl. She's always lived up to her name. It's sad to see her so scared.

Not sure what, if anything, I should do! :(
I'd be keeping my eye on who she is afraid of

@RoyalChick
I did all I wrote in the message I sent you.

But then i remembered another good old remedy, a clever couple told me about this a hundred years ago...It's slippery elm. (YES, I am a hundred and fifty now)
I've just taken a good tablespoon in a quarter pint of water.

This apparently helps to improve cholesterol throughout the body by thinning the bile consistency, while smoothing the intestine.

There is nothing you can do. They need to work it out. Keep track of her and make sure she is eating. The rest will most likely resolve in time.

It's so hard to not intervene. I know. :hugs :hugs
