Happy 2fer Tuesday everyone.
It finally stopped raining. Everything is either under water or a big sea of mud.
The sun came out this morning so hopefully some drying out will happen.

For a moment, this picture made me catch my breathe - the fluffy mug made me think of Eli! I miss stories of her flying antics and of her searching for sunflower seeds!

It looks to me either like a stand-off, or like Bolt is thinking of grooming BBQ (both normal chicken things!!!) Besides - don't you ever hug your siblings? Chicken siblings can be close, too, without it being 'awkward' or 'unnatural'

Oh I miss her too - she was the most beautiful of them all with her dusting of gold.
But I know she taught the Pentagonists a few things before she left us, and that always makes me smile.
I am serious about that.
Eli had a favorite place to dig and hang out, not one that Bernie pays much attention to, and Eli took the Pentagonists there when they were chicks and now they all love that spot. Also, I swear that even the big ladies like Tassels fly more than is typical and I am sure that is down to the little stunt pilot, Eli.
Eli was too much of a force of nature to completely disappear - her spirit lives on!

I hug my sister. But I don’t kiss her. She would bash my skull!
