I had to get out of bed and give Sir Jaffar a hug. It is national hug your chickens day today. I haven’t seen them all day, until I went out to feed them some meally worms. Jaffar does a good job of roostering his ladies. Now it’s roosting time for them all. Then I’m heading back to bed.
Did you call you GP for some advice/meds?

I am sending a hug and a warning ‘drink lots of fluids and stay warm ❤️

Was it Aurora staring at the blueberries on the chair too? That was a great picture!
Yes it was.

The hospice nurse just left. A very nice lady who got to see first hand a lot of what we are dealing with. They are going to try to get a different mattress for the hospital bed. Going with a gel mattress instead of a pressure mattress because grandma complains if there are bumps. They offer nurse aids to come out up to 3 days a few for up to 4 hours a time to help with care or sit with her if we need to leave. At first she balked at it but the nurse talked her into at least one visit to try it out. I pray she allows them to visit at least once a week. I do not need to leave the house, just let me get outside by myself for just a hour to breathe. The next visit will be Thursday sometime in the morning.
This is also where YOU can schedule an aide regardless, because YOU need them. When the aide is arriving you just say you're stepping out for a bit and will be back soon. Then go. Take a walk, hang with Poppet, whatever! You can set the terms too. Hospice is for ALL of the family.
