My cats are obsessed with any food we give the chickens. We have to spread their mix in several places. Junko is particularly into the dried black soldier larve, she will jump up in the shelf when we are getting a scoop. Animals are so weird

My cat is terrified of the chickens, when she was younger one of them gave her a good beating and she refuses to go to the barn anymore

But she does like her treats!

I am NOT happy
This morning Samara was waddling and kept trying to preen her bum fluff. Finally got a good look and she had poop just everywhere.
Needed a bath.

It was really caked in her fluff. I hope this doesn't happen again, I really don't like having her in the house even if it's necessary.
Also it happened overnight? She was clean yesterday when I did a booty check.

Well she sure looked right at home there - I gave a couple of my hens a wash, trim and style last summer

I keep the feathers trimmed short around the butts of my girls with poopy butts, anyways I have found that once they start laying eggs they start getting poopy butts.

In fact today is trim the butts day….

That last photo is awesome!

Not to worry about the chicken being inside, I have fostered so many wildlife here, birds, squirrels, raccoons (are devil children), and of course horses and ponies (not in the house ), I have likely had so much critter poop and crud on me I just go with the flow now .

All those germs give you a great immune system - so I have heard - I guess it true I haven’t had a case of whatever it’s is cats get!

If you can restage that photo and take it in landscape format you can use it for next year’s calendar contest - it’s a wonderful photo

The photos need to be taken in landscape format, and a certain size (can’t remember now but high resolution ), so when they have the contest this coming season you can enter that photo
