I hate to mention it as you posted so promptly, but...SHRA taxes are supposed to have 2 (or more) chickens in them..... other taxes have no such requirements (and she's truly a beauty)

I just found out the cast of the 6th Pirates of the Caribbean!! Johnny Depp and Jenna Ortega are the main characters. It’s supposed to come out in mid to late 2025. POTC are my favorite movies, so I’m super eggcited!! Edit: Ortega is playing as Cpt. Sparrow’s daughter. I’m super happy that Depp decided to be in the movie after what Disney did.

Tax: one of Pastel’s nephews. HE is about the same age as Gumbo. Their faces and body are the same. Pretty sure that they are both roosters! This little fella is a pretty little dude.

40 + years ago, I thought Barred Rocks were funny looking and couldn’t possibly be chickens, but today they are mostly what I have as pets!

They are the quintessential chicken. I always picture barred rocks in front of a red barn with a horse poking its head out a 1/2 door when I think "farm".

Just look at that red comb and wattles vs those stripes!

They are great moms.

They stop on a dime and give you change

They are artistic

They love to celebrate holidays

The quintessential chickens.

Well I sure hope Larry goes broody then in that case! gosh - hope I don't have 11 chooks all going broody all at once this summer! I will have to give them each 2 chicks to raise - that's a lot of chickens!

I’m eggcited to see who laid me eggs while I was gone. I’ll get to see tomorrow. If one of my babies laid eggs, I’m sure that I’ll cry. I’m weird because I don’t cry about “normal” stuff, but if one of my chooks grows up, I’ll bawl my eyes out!
