I was just thinking:
Chickens don't stop to smell the flowers. They stop to eat the flowers.

Oh me too - but I am a bit embarrassed I don’t know who is laying what.
The egg I think is from Tassels is laid in Sylvie’s box - where she spends the night to avoid the bully Piglet.
How Piglet - who is tiny - gets to be the class bully I will never understand!
Maybe that’s why babies at a hospital maternity ward get switched sometimes?🤔 🤦‍♂️

Tassels provided a second egg so I investigated bloom. Washing the egg definitely changes the color, but I wouldn’t say it is a green egg.
Hmmm.
I also washed one of Pooh’s eggs.

I guess next time I add to my flock I need to try again for a green egg layer!

EDIT
Oh my goodness - maybe that isn't a Tassels egg at all. Sylvie is supposed to lay dark brown eggs with speckles. Oh now I am very very confused!
That egg looks like the eggs my third gen olive eggers lay! Super dark mossy green with speckles. They were calling then Moss eggers but I know more now lol and really its just back crossing to darker the green.

To know for sure when you crack the egg open look inside and see if the inner shell is light blue, I would bet it is and that means whoever laid it is a second or third gen Olive egger.

OK! Breakfast will be the mystery eggs. I like the look of them - not complaining, just curious.

Or you can get an incubator and hatch some eggs. I'll probably do that next spring-summer.
BUT the downside of that is that you may get too many roosters. Did I ever tell you how my hen Onyx was hatched in an incubator, and she had 5 rooster brothers?

3 of them as babies. (Onyx is in the back)
