Um, nope - I think that is called 'Twister', and not @Ponypoor 's Twister - rather the game where you get all jumbled up and end up falling over.

Tried to get an AI version of microsoft + chickens, but it didn't work (I was thinking that microsoft could never build automated cars, as you would regularly have to open the door, hold the antennea and turn the key to reboot/restart the car. And, Apple couldn't really either, as while the cars would run really well - they would only operate on 10% of the roads - so you could never get where you needed.

  • AI is not so good at generating what I wanted. Maybe I will put a real chicken to work on it:

Those hens are sitting on eggs....
Broody IT Hens?

All the chooks are in the coop, hopefully. I didn’t do the headcount tonight. Dakota was trying to get me to bring her inside the house, so I did. Supposed to rain again tonight. :idunno
I’ll go check on them one more time before I go to bed
So no-one is being thrown out into the rain then , I take it . Funny because I thought not :gig

I think the raised scales are because of her missing leg feathers....
Any idea what happened? A rat attack, or caught in something? The whole foot looks a little beat up, though it’s not easy to see it plainly, compared with the other foot. Some pain meds might help her at this point. Such a stress for you! :hugs

Nope, but by the way it looks she may of been picked on by another chicken.
My suspect?

Yes, you, Stormfeather.
Why?
Simple. He is and acts just like a Hormonal Idiot. Chases hens, pecks them on the roost, and other things I won't bother talking about. Only thing on earth that stops him is...

Older Rooster = More sense

Ijak chases Stormfeather away when he sees this.

The only time when Ijak can't stop this is when they are roosting.
Yesterday when the chooks were roosting, Stormfeather tried picking at Cluckie's foot, and I batted him off the roost so that an older chook could come and nest in between her and Stormfeather.

I really try not to watch roosting time but I saw some of it this evening and seriously I can't watch again!

Piglet went off to her solo roost.
Sylvie took the far end of the big roost as far away from anyone as it is possible to get (which is quite far!).

Everyone else piled on together on the big roost. BUT it was not all happiness.

Bernie and Babs were at the two ends with 3 big fluffy Princesses between them. Babs was not happy with this arrangement and walked along the edge of the wall-mounted flat panel heater (I have no idea how she is able to do that) to get closer to Bernie. Meanwhile Tassels, who is next to Bernie, won't make room for Babs and even tries to burrow under Bernie to displace her.
Bernie was having none of that and threw Tassels, Pooh and Calypso off the big roost. She let Sylvie stay at the far end.

So, the odd couple are back roosting next to each other. Sylvie is all on her own at the far end of the big roost (at least she is not in a nest box) and everyone else is back together being pecked by Piglet.

I guess at the end of the day, being pecked by Bernie is a lot more troublesome than being pecked by little Piglet!
