My husband once joked about buying a bunch of turkey chicks and letting them join the flocks of wild ones roaming around, just to see what people say. 😅
That's actually illegal in some states. Has to do with interbreeding and domesticated Turkeys can't fly worth Pony's mount poopmore. Wild Turkeys can fly rather well. Many states also have regulations on raising pheasant, quail, bobwhite, and any other bird that CAN be a game bird.
 
Oh and my other worry is the opposite. What if they are wildly successful and before I know it the whole neighborhood is taken over by hoards of marauding Guineas? Would I have to confess they were originally mine?!
Well, you see, I am already hoping for more visits from my long distance neighbors 3. Your neighbors may love them, and feed them and steal them lol.
