So, we got a chicken saddle for the Wyandottes. We put it on Beetov-Hen, and all the others start doing the "I'm scared" call, running around, and scaring the daylights out of Beetov. Is this normal? What saddles do you all use?

First time I had to use a saddle - it was on Buffy back when Ijak was a hormonal idiot - it was an old jeans pocket with straps sewn onto it. Buffy didn't like it one bit - she tried all she could to preen it off or peck it off!

Ugh! Babs is roosting on top of the flat panel heater. That thing is only like a quart of an inch thick at the top. It just can’t be comfortable!

I have one I use on the silkies when they have their feathers broke. It takes a bit of time for them to get used to it. But eventually they do.
