Tax payments that I probably owe. @BY Bob
I caught the Empress again. Of course, she didn't leave without leaving her mark.
(Yes, she took my screen door down again. And she scratches. Hard.)

What kind of very pretty chicken?
Keep reading, Featherhead. It goes on longer.
@knoturavggrl ok. In plating with the calculator, I'm making some guesses on the ladies' marking/genetic backgrounds. (Pic examples aren't showing up when I'm selecting, so it gets really odd quickly) Running against a jubilee orp roo, used gold ground color, black pattern: gold birchen crowwing (should be gold head/neck feathers, sort of, and all black body) marans and it basically popped the same thing for babies, so they should have the spangles hidden under the black. It's possible some will show through with adult moults at 18 months+. Used a leghorn base for the splash birds as they aren't recognized breeds for SOP stuff, so aren't specifically listed. It's a fair bet leghorn is in them somewhere. EE aren't in there either. (Ran it with Ameraucana, too) results were the same except for beard possible. They will be blue. The legbar isn't in it yet. It's all speculation at the moment. I'll play with the genetics calculator when I'm at lunch.
Two lovely ladies

Facebook is down, I keep getting texts and snapchats asking if it's down for everyone haha.
I feel this is a topic I could dig deep into and never return.Playing with genetics had me thinking about my first adventure into "where did this come from?" Re: Storm and her 3 feather crest. Google the genetics of a crested chicken and found this:
Part 1

Part 2 (link at bottom of Part 1)

Edit: Storm is still and anomaly as neither parent had a crest, while a grandparent did.
I am with you, this is exactly why I posted my SOS here lolI feel this is a topic I could dig deep into and never return.
If it is OK with you @rural mouse i am going to stick with ‘pretty chicken’ with the odd splash (see what I did there?) of insight about blue and lavender.
Beyond that I look to you as my guide!
Genetics tax: a not blue chicken but according to @notabitail, a Leghorn (sort of)
