Are you feeding a layer feed?I missed a day of giving Kasumi a calcium pill and she laid a soft shell egg. She refuses to eat the oyster shell every time I offer so I guess I just need to give her calcium pills in cheese every day. On the plus side all the girls love cheesy snacks.
It's nasty outside so here are fluffy butts from earlier this week.

A baby Lavender Orpington! I can't tell which, as I had 4 that were identical. Maybe Sissy. Yes, a lot of throwbacks lately, my birds were left with neighbors when I moved, and I am currently planning a new flock for this spring.
Have you wormed her? Or tried some antibiotics?Yes! It’s the hen who feels crappy- but will eat worms if I dig them up for her I found out haha.
Well I hope BoPeeps is okSubtle but serious complaint: my chickens are making me crazy today. Squawking everywhere, fighting and screaming at each other. BoPeeps is walking around with the penguin stride and I hope she’s ok.
Ps. Jaffar bit me twice and Xzit once.
Good options, thanks for trouble shooting with meHave you wormed her? Or tried some antibiotics?
Happy Birthday sweetie pieGood options, thanks for trouble shooting with me
I had chosen to not worm Albert early on, which turned out to be the right choice because the fecal float came back negative for everything.
She has not had any antibiotics, but I fall on the conservative side of antibiotic use if there is no known infection. Besides, there are hoops to jump through to purchase antibiotics these days. Gah.
So I went down the worm hole of infectious diseases last night looking for an answer! For like nine hours was convinced she had Wet fowl pox. Well, no, I checked this morning for telltale mouth lesions and there was nothing.
She’s up there now, waiting for me to bring her food, but I’m all tied up with a baby (who turned 1 yesterday!) on a nap strike. Ugh, so cuteView attachment 3767301
