Good morning all!

Today is day 3 of the wormer in the water, tomorrow they can have regular water again. And after Wednesday I can once again collect eggs.

Then I need to wait 2 weeks and repeat the process. 3 days treatment and with hold eggs until 3 days after last treatment day.

Buttercup’s looking spotacular

Well the reason I went off layer feed is that it is low ish protein 16%.
The All Flock feed I give them is 20% protein.
But, in the summer they supplement their protein with bugs and worms more easily, so that is why I was thinking to do similar.
Do you feed them back their eggshells? Mine are not that interested in oyster shell but they love crushed up eggshells.
Nutrena makes a few higher protein feeds with higher levels of calcium than their 16% layer (18% Feather Fixer with 3.25-3.75% calcium) but these others except for Feather Fixer generally aren't available locally.

I'm trying Purina Layena+ Omega 3 right now because I needed feed and this was freshest by far. Only 16% protein though, but 3.25-4.25% calcium. I was getting a few softer shells on the Nutrena Feather Fixer. Purina touts oyster shell pieces, not calcium dust, in this feed, which should last longer in the digestive tract.

Purina has a higher protein layer but it wasn't fresh at the TSC I went to
Purina Layena+ High Protein Layer Feed 19% protein, 3.25-4.25 calcium

Nutrena has these too but I never see them in the store -

Hearty Hen Soy-Free 18% protein, 3.7 -4.7% calcium https://nutrenaworld.com/products/naturewise-hearty-hen-soy-free/

Free Range Egg Producer 21% protein, calcium 3.45-3.95 https://nutrenaworld.com/products/naturewise-egg-producer/

Nourishing Protein Bits 18% protein, 3.7-3.9% calcium https://nutrenaworld.com/products/naturewise-nourishing-layer-18-bits/

Egg Producer (Nutrena's "Country Feeds" line) 22% protein, 3.45-3.95 calcium (but they don't list ingredients for this one, only the guaranteed analysis)
