Soft Shell

Someone laid a soft shelled egg in the middle of the yard today. I think it might have been Phyllis. Everyone has been laying eggs with tough shells so in hoping it's a one off right now.

I ordered the Nutrena. I hope the girls like it!

Roxy has had severe intestinal reactions to change in feed in the past (bloated, bleeding intestines that resulted in severe anemia), so I’ll be careful when I incorporate it.

I normally just don't list anyone who hasn't posted. Because there was some recent concern for @GregnLety in my Synopsis week (I think?), and you had been public about your reasons I wrote that to reassure people who might have missed your original post. No calling you out intended!

I was going to trim it but then the power went out and it was a struggle just to deal with it on my phone and post it! At least I had it in Google Drive so I could get to it with my phone!

Here is a little update from about 15 minutes ago. 5 minutes later the rain returned and they went back in, but at least they got a mini excursion!

They look wonderful - whatever you’re doing keep doing it!

Gave them some birdseed and alfalfa pellets as a snack.

I am wondering that about Sophia - she spent all afternoon in the nestbox.
