Wyan for short (like Ryan) :D Something will eventually work out for him I'm sure -- you sure gave us fun naming him!

We came up with 3 Asian names for our 3 newest Silkies before picking up the chicks from Buckaboo Farm but decided one would be named after two dear relatives instead.

The pretty Blue was named "Betta" and happened to be a combo of my sister's & niece's names. They had been after me for years to name a chicken after them :D. I told them our prettiest one was named after them.

BETTA -- means "pledged to God" in Hebrew/Latin/Swedish

"MIKA" -- means "who is like God" in Japanese & many other languages -- Black/Dark Partridge

Keiko, our 3rd newest Silkie, loved to eat and eat as a chick & DH called her Miss Hoover cuz she polished off food faster than a Hoover vacuum. Then when her Moorhead Partridge colors feathered in DH said "You mean like Agnes, Agnes Moorehead from Bewitched?" So she was Agnes for a while! She is such a funny Silkie I called her the Clown. Because we adored her entertainment so much her name is permanently "Keiko" now.

"KEIKO" -- means "adored one" in Japanese & several languages.

Who knew picking out names for chickens would be so much fun?! I gotta get a life!
Oh you have such adorable chooks - gosh I am enjoying hearing about them ♥️♥️♥️♥️

How cool is that to have fancy jets in your flight path! We live next to a freeway and our flight path overhead is just news helicopters covering traffic news! They fly so low and vibrate the house but our hens are so accustomed to the noise and the noise of 4th of July illegal fireworks they don't bat an eyelash!

But we do get beautiful Stealth Bombers fly over our house once a year when they display over the New Years Pasadena Rose Parade. Such a RUMBLE!
When my mum and dad used to go the AZ for the winter in Yuma, the military planes flying over were awesome, and those strange plane/helicopter hybrid planes (Ospreys I think they are called?), they are just funky!

Ps. The fight was bad. Biting and kicking, pulling out feathers, head pecking and more. I tried to get into the middle and stop it, but then they just moved to another area of the yard.:old Some evil has come to Cluckingham Court. I must do something about it.
That might be battle for queenship...
