If Glynda was of a mind to do it, Phyllis would get a real beating right now. She can't defend herself well. Glynda just walked away from Phyllis. She is way faster than my waddling girl.I can share my experience. Brownie is the head girl here. Whenever she got off the nest the other hens would pick on her and try and start stuff. Brownie fought back and just went back to sitting. I mention this only to say I was surprised they did it to her given her Queen status within my flock.
I hear your worries and you’re right it could possibly cause Glynda to give up but so could moving her to another location. Both your girls seem pretty committed though and this behavior seems to be “the way of the chicken”.
Is Glynda defending herself?
