If I remember correctly Sydney had them out on the porch on day 3. They really need wings before that happens as the lip to get out is significant. There is a ramp to get back into the coop from the porch. I have walled off the exit from the porch as the ramp is another big thing and I must be there to make certain they can navigate their way back up.

I remain stunned that Glynda, a hen that would not always use a nest to lay an egg, wound up being such a great broody. Not to mention what a good mum she has been so far. She is always on the move. Just look at her sitting down and being patient with the little ones. It is stunning to observe.
She sure is proving to be a good broody mama. Sophia was like that - really surprised me. Her I would give chicks to again.

Honestly, I need my porch adjusted from time to time as well.
A message from CeeCee to the court of Fluffy Butt Acres, and to the Queen Aurora.
“Hello your Royal Majesty. I would like to present myself as a kindred spirit and as always, look to your infinite wisdom.
But I have a question?: if I eat Indian food, like spiced rice or curry, would that help me produce the magnificent beard that you possess? Signed your humble servant CeeCee the EE

What a lovely beard and muffs you have already for such youngster.

Hello everyone. I think most of you know I am off around the world at the moment. I picked up Covid in Africa and am grounded in the UK feeling sorry for myself.
This means I can only watch the Princesses over the cameras.
I got this adorable clip of my lady turkey visitor. She is standing right by the Chicken Palace and looks like she wants in. Isn't she cute?!
Do turkeys and chickens get on OK?
I am sure this won't really happen, but just suppose I were to let her in, could she become one of the flock?
Are you sure that's a "she"? That's a fairly large display of tail feathers.

I did, when I get a new fan I'll try it.
Unless.....
You remember an old fan, holed up in your garage....
And you make it into this.

A cut out bucket lid, duct tape and an old fan.
Here's how it looks.
(P.S.: Now the chickens have to get used to it...)

That's pretty neat.

My brother used a pump, some filter of some kind, and some tubing that makes condensate for it to work.

You seem to be getting pretty good at making videos.

Brilliant!
I am thinking I might try something like that.

Don’t worry they will learn to sit in front of it and enjoy the cool air 👍

You don't get the women but you get the chickens. At least someone (by someone, I mean a chicken) likes you.

Protect Christmas the gander at all costs. Such a sweet duck. I've done this to Grandma before but she sat in the passenger seat and never went beyond the house, just stayed on the driveway. How I wish Old Man would allow a chicken in the car... Grandma could sit on the floor of the pickup. There is so much leg room.
TeeHee! "Christmas" is a gander (goose) not a drake (duck).
Our friend calls him "Chris" for short! They are obviously very attached to him.

As cute and adorable as ducks are I prefer geese for their practical usefulness on a farm. They are way less messy/smelly than ducks and don't require pond living to be happy, great as watch dogs, some breeds are less noisy than ducks, and they don't tear up the landscape as much as ducks.
