Aw! Gotcha! I love the feathered feet, and I don’t have any issues with muddy feet, even Henny’s feet stay lovely white and dry. They will get wet and muddy outside but when she comes in they dry fast and stay clean.
Our Silkies' slippers the same way. They get muddy playing in water but somehow are clean and fluffy later. Still we watch to make sure they're walking ok.

Lady Featherington is not a Sussex, she is a Jubilee Orpington. She hatched the Polish chick, multicolored. Glynda is a Frost Legbar and she hatched the Orpington chick which is yellow. They each have one of their own but are coparenting so far.
Worked out well for our ladies :)
