Continuing with the music thing. When it comes to music videos, we don't really care about showing it to our chickens. However, when Grandma decided to come in the house and enjoy some AC, I let her watch the music video of "I Like to Move It, Move It". While some scenes showed women dancing in a suggestive and scandalous way, of course Grandma wouldn't understand, but her eyes were glued to the screen. Michael Jackson's music videos, on the other hand, are not for her. One time, she and the baby cat (photo below) were watching "Smooth Criminal" and "Thriller", both music videos I would consider a cinematic experience. These videos have some horror (mostly Thriller) which is something they are not okay with.
Smooth Criminal
  • Loud, scary moaning
  • Lights go dark
  • Shadow figures, unrecognizable faces
  • Group saying "Annie, you okay?" In a scary, concerned voice
Throughout the rest of the video, there didn't seem to be any horror.
Thriller
  • Girl screaming when Michael turns into a werewolf
  • Michael making scaring sounds while turning into a werewolf
  • Michael werewolf chasing the girl, breaking a tree as he runs
  • Michael dancing in a way that seems creepy and may discomfort the woman
  • Fog?
  • Walking past a cemetery at night
  • Creatures come alive, exit from underground
  • Although they act alive, they are still dead
  • Creepy looking Michael throughout the video
  • The whole video takes place at night
  • I'll continue tomorrow
This was more of a synopsis, but at least you'll get some idea about the video. If you want me to do a bulleted list for Smooth Criminal, I'll definitely do it.
I'll have Grandma watch "Bad" tomorrow. It has no horror and it seems to take place during the day.
Have you tried musical videos? You know songs like ‘I feel pretty’ or others like that? Happy jaunty tunes?

How is that roof going? I can't catch up today because I have a friend picking me up soon. But I hope it's going well
Oh not at all.

Scorching hot, BIL burnt his hand on the sheet metal first thing. So we decided nope too hot.

Today, rain rain rain - what a shocker

For Pony Sunday I give you three soggy ponies, and rain drops

'Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complaining
Because I'm free-eeeee-eee
Nothing's worrying meeeeeee’

That’s what I loved about Jaffar, tiny poopies, but most of the time he would wait until he was outside. He was such a good rooster.
All this takes time and patience doesn’t it? Getting your pets (and kids) all trained up. Years most times to get them all to the point were they are presentable in polite company.

Just checked the chickens and gave them fresh water. My broodies are used to being tossed off the nest so they had no problems with me lifting them up to check the eggs, then setting them back down. All 8 broody eggs are still intact. :) I imagine if there are any issues they will be tossed off the nest or eaten? I'm going to leave them alone to do their thing and check the eggs under them once a day for now.

As for the incubator, woke up this morning and turned the eggs. I think I'll need to add water tonight. My neighbor says the hygrometer and thermometer on the top are not correct but he only has a thermometer inside. I don't have my lizards old one anymore or I would pop it in there too. Oh well.
For pony sunday here's Fenix, he's started acting like an old man even though he's only 7.

Oh but on a brighter note I found the leak with all this rain today!

So I know where to fix the roof, may not need to replace everything. Jut need to locate that one spot on the top side of the roof now.

I placed a bucket under the spot it’s leaking in the loft, prevent any more water from getting in.
