Princess took a liking to a couple of the workmen and pusscat really liked the one guy. They kept coming on to see them. But the one guy princess tried to stop coming in , she stood defiantly in his way on entry then showed him the door on the way out.

Princess got a little hot and bothered today and tried to lay an egg. So I placed her in Luke warm water in the sink and she really appreciated it and stayed there for around 20 minutes. I put a little olive oil into her vent and she ate some with a bit of layers feed before sipping the rest

Mums at Work
The weather finally broke last night and this morning I finally got some quality time with Versace and Aster (and the mums). Of course I had to bribe them over with treats but as soon as sat in my chair the mums knew that treats were coming and too a couple of steps towards me. Here they are enjoying some mealworms and coming right up to my feet, on their own, for the first time.
The dual Mom dynamic is quite fascinating to watch play out as they seem to have different views on moving about. It seems that if Lady Featherington was raising the chicks on her own, they would be exploring much more and be much further from the main coop. It was Lady Featherington that called them out of the coop the first time and forced Glynda to trail along. Of course Glynda would have them much tighter controlled and really limited in their scope of exploration. She is perfectly happy to stay in the big run all day.
Now Aster, Glynda's chick, wants to explore. When they are out of the run, Aster is wandering further from the group. Versace seems quite content to be around a Mom at all times.
So in summary, Glynda wants to stay close to the complex and her chick (Aster) wants to explore. Lady Featherington wants to take them out and her chick (Versace) is comfortable staying close to a Mom.
Because of this I think the chicks are getting the best compromise. Lady Featherington pushes the group to explore some but Glynda puts a limit on the distance and time spent out away from the safety of the coop complex.
I have seen the Moms "argue" where Lady F wanted to take them out and Glynda was opposed. They seem to compromise well. Sometimes Glynda gets her way and sometimes Lady F. does. I can't say if the chicks are a decider in this or not. Lady F. will call the chicks when wanting to leave and Glynda will counter call them to stay. Eventually they work it out and move as a group. It is something to see.
If I can ever be in a position to film it I will but you never know if there is going to be a dispute or not, so when to film or not is a difficult decision. They also are usually in the big run and it is hard to film all of the big run due to obstacles.

This dog has ruined my good reputation 
There was a survey made today about the service of our water, which was all good. The survey took 5 to 10 minutes...
At the end of this call a thank you and goodbye. This dog wakes up and ripped out 3 very loud farts. The guy must have been shocked because the 3 was clearly heard as the dogs bottom was near the phone part. So embarrassing

It has been quite hot and humid this summer, today it was much cooler so I got some photos.
There is a world outside the coop and they are finally allowed to see it!!! She wants Aurora to know she ate LOTS of spicy
food and appreciates the advice, it seems to be working.
I believe I have one roo and two pullets. The fuzzy cheeks and beards are just adorable
Story: I am hiding you can’t see me.
Brownie, Lore, and Peanut, he is so darn big! He has also settled down since the spring. I’ve been having Es give him snacks and seems to have helped a lot.
