First pic (grey one) has red shoulders.....I suspect that one is a roo.

That dark red patch on the shoulder is an early indication of roo. Whiskey and Tuff both got it. That particular chick will likely end up similar colored to them and/or @RebeccaBoyd 's boys Drumstick, Bubba (rest in peace both), and Randy. The red/gold head, hackle, and saddle feathers follow.
Oh that's going to be gorgeous with the silkie fuzzles. Welp, if he gets along well he can stay. Hubby says he's building me a third coop haha. "You and your bleeding heart chicken math."

the repair of the fence was done improperly. Putting stress on the gate posts. I don’t like chain link fences per se, but “it is what it is” borrowing a quote from PonyPoor.
Now my gate is hanging up and hard to open. I have to wait until Monday to get the contractor back out to effect repairs.
