That wasn't nearly chore I'd feared! Six trips, 7 chickens. We doubled up on the last two. We did use the crate. Hubby manned the crate, I caught the chickens, we went to the coop and popped them onto the roosts. Red Leader did make one attempt to jump out the window, but was of course foiled by the hardware cloth screen. She quickly jumped back up on the roost and settled in. All on all, pretty smooth. Here they are, in their spacious new home. View attachment 3934380
Looks wonderful! Good job wow! They look great in there 🥰

Sigh, well, Clyde has been added to my "I want to steal that chicken" list along with Marty. He's so friendly and is going to be a handsome little man.
Oh yea friendly. He loves my left hand, Mr LC loves the right one… I am well loved these days 😁 not the worst suitors I have had though 🤭

Those look like Whisky Jacks (Grey Jays) but they are a northern country bird so I am not sure if they would be down your way. I see them here only in the winter.

They are super friendly and learn fast to ‘train’ us Hoomans to feed them.
Apparentlythey're called Canada Jays in the states. They were really friendly and entertaining.

I love the way they are bunching up listening to you ❤️
They were hiding under the trees as the Turkey Vultures were flying overhead! And trying to protect from the wind. It was so windy!!

Today it’s supposed to be even cooler an a north wind - brrr!
