She doesn't fit any of those either...unless there's something with the blue isbar. Not real familiar with those so let me look......

As a splash bird, she could be one of these (note the splash chick at the bottom). The build looks pretty close.

Egg color....both Glynda and Lady F got some of both eggs, right? Do you have pics of all the eggs before they were placed?
That was my initial reaction, too - an Isbar - but splash. I agree regarding the build, as well.

Wow, @BY Bob -you may not have gotten what you ordered, but you may yet have a blue egg layer! She is a cutie (both are), and, regardless, I know she will be loved by you and hopefully - since raised as part of the flock, BOTH (hint, hint, Queen Aurora) will be accepted as FULL chickens by the flock.

I do not have pictures of my Buffs at 8 weeks, I went and checked.

This is the best I can do.
The first picture is about 6 weeks old and the 2nd one they are around 10 or 11 weeks.

Take away the color differences, I think Aster is looking similar to them.

If the eggs came from:confused: an older hen, may show white - although I would assume it would be an off white (technically light, light blue, but look white), but those do look very white next to the white carton, so :idunno

I have had blue egg layers in their later years lay more of an off white. I haven't had green egg layers lay off white, but they have gotten much, much paler in some. And, any green egg layer can throw a blue or brown (brown more likely) egg laying chick.......so if they aren't careful about their selection based on everything (egg color, adult plumage, body type, etc.) It could be possible....though I don't know how they would get mixed in with the other white eggs unless their is poor quallity control - which could spell lots of possibilities......over time.

Wood hauling this weekend, we found a nest in the ground....I actually got bitten (yes bitten, not stung). Having NEVER been either before, we had to keep an eye on that. (No issues other than itching today.) I grew up with my dad keeping bees as a hobby, knowing what to do around them, corralling them in dorm rooms in college and not once bitten or stung. Good to know I'm not allergic, but could have done without learning that.

That is the speculation. Both ladies had some of both eggs under them, right?
Each had 2 brown eggs. Glynda only had 4 eggs and 2 hatched. I brown 1 white, I thought, but I did not take pictures. The white egg was the polish that did not survive so to me that left the brown egg. But maybe I'm not remembering correctly.
