Do chickens still need supplemental heat by 14 weeks old? I've only been turning the heating pad on when it gets below 50⁰F (10⁰C) at night these past couple weeks, which hasn't been often

Technically, no. The purpose of the heat is because they can't regulate their body temp (at least completely) until they're fully feathered, usually about 8 weeks. From a comfort side of things. Some broodies hang on to the babies until they're almost as big as mama. Wintry temps, warming stations can be appreciated, but theoretically are unnecessary. When they're moulting, warming stations are also appreciated.

Beautiful cat. My tabby is currently missing 🙁 hopefully he is just on a walkabout.
