They do flock together for the winter. They go off on their own prior to spring mating through summer (but you often see a 'flock' because of momma with her offspring), then flock again for the winter. This is a bit early for the 'flocking' - so it may be they are flocking early, or it may be that you are just seeing a momma with her almost full size clutch.No.
That makes me sad. Though I haven’t seen a pile of feathers either.
I did see a bunch of turkeys together so I am holding on to the idea that she has found her tribe and has gone off with them.
