There's more than Junglefowl to get those dark markings on face & legs. Black Swedish Hen or Ayam Cemani in her history or even Silkie maybe to give those dark features? Out of curiosity see if her tongue or body skin is dark. She is leghorn/red junglefowl. I think she looks really neat!
She does! She definitely has the silkie sassiness too, she's a little spitfire.
Green eyes! LOVE green eyes!
Forget about the egg part of that observation. None of these fine ladies has laid an egg today.Hen egg songs can be very loud. Our coop isn't against a neighboring fence but our hens have loud songs that carry far & it worries me.
The lady has both of her parents so I will see. Junglefowl do have a variety of skin colors, darker and lighter. There's more than Junglefowl to get those dark markings on face & legs. Nyx is a sweetie all right!
That is the maddest hen I've ever seen! She looks ready to erupt!I am getting to my wits end with Tassels. She has been in broody jail best part of two weeks now. Nothing deters her. At least in jail she eats. Chicken feed frittata.

Yeah. She gave me some filthy looks. She thought I was going to release her. That is the maddest hen I've ever seen! She looks ready to erupt!
You must be our geneticist ~ other than a blue/black/splash breeding chart & egg genetics I only read enough general info to be dangerous teehee! Note to myself to consult you in future as I'm too lazy to delve into the details of pattern/color breeding.Offspring of the splash...if daddy ISNT splash, 100% guarantee to show blue anywhere that black would be, possibly all over blue with markings hidden under it, possibly having those markings bleed through in adult moults
And Jingle took that personally…That is the maddest hen I've ever seen!
