Crayfish? Who’s got crayfish? IMG_4564.jpeg

You must be our geneticist ~ other than a blue/black/splash breeding chart & egg genetics I only read enough general info to be dangerous teehee! Note to myself to consult you in future as I'm too lazy to delve into the details of pattern/color breeding.
Self taught: where did this come from? In my mix offspring...or figuring out the parents. If I don't have/haven't had/don't have on my future wish list, info is iffy. I'm also finding there's a lot of color info that hides under others and some colors (like BBR of the brown leghorn) interact in weird ways that I don't understand yet. Those are the ones that my curiosity bug makes me go investigate when questions get asked and I'm going.....ummmm.....I don't know.....now I want to know.

Goldie loves the rain so much. While everyone else is sitting under “their bush”, just a bush right beside my house that they love for some reason, she is out prancing in the rainView attachment 3954215View attachment 3954216
But Goldie also somehow managed to get a tick right above her eye so I have to figure out how to get that off (any ideas? 😅). They were supposed to eat ticks, not feed them 🙄
Heat the tip of a needle up over a flame...then touch (or come close to touching) the tic. It will back out so you can remove it. Just pulling it out can leave bits behind that will continue to cause problems.

The problem was that it was right above her eye. Probably a 1/4 inch or so above it. I wouldn’t comfortable doing that as even her moving slightly could cost her permanent damage

First we’re tickling ticks, and now we’re torturing ticks? :he
