Tax: Tassels is back in her bath. She is still very much broody but I don’t know what else I can do. The nights are now chilly - in the 50s - and her cage is situated to get maximum wind chill.

Considering he's 16 months old, he's doing well. This time no feather pulling. Was more like trying to scatter for the fun of it. He's made HUGE progress. Most of the time ignores...but hade to test, like he did on going to the neighbor's houses....
Sherlock is definitely young, handsome, w/great breed history & lots of smart potential for commands. He is a beauty.

The larger my dog breeds have been the longer they took to mature ~ sometimes up to 3 yrs before maturity set in. I kept dog treats on me to reward obeyed commands. However I once had an unusual temperament Rottie who was pleased enough w/a scratch behind the ear or a pat on his chest w/ a calm "Good Boy" and that was all he needed for reinforcement ~ dogs like chickens are all different.

The puppy/juvenile yrs were hardest but I really enjoyed the mature yrs best after seeing the fruits of training. The only sad part for me was that large breeds have shorter lifespans than smaller breeds.
