Mallorca files is set on the island of Mallorca (off the coast of Spain), it’s about a British detective who gets transplanted there who solves crimes.

Another you may enjoy is My Life is Murder (New Zealand/Australia TV), another detective show about a retired detective who freelances for the police.

Have you seen Death in Paradise? Also a BBC show set in the Caribbean. And Sister Boniface (spin off from Father Brown), oh and Miss Scarlet and the Duke (BBC).

And Murdock Mysteries (Canadian, 20 seasons I think, I have missed the last couple seasons) - it’s set in around 1903-ish Toronto - it’s really interesting to see how policing was back then - they do a good job of trying to be factual. And it’s fun to spot the old museums here in my home town they use for the stories sometimes 😊 and no shortage of old barns and homes from turn of the century 1900s around here to shoot scenes. I love when they do scenes in the old hospitals - some I have worked in and know the creaky old back staircases 😉

Over the past few years I have been watching these on and off.

Today I spent a lot of a time watching shows (watched a couple episodes of Mallorca files and a couple re-runs of Death in Paradise), my shoulder and neck are just aching. I am beginning to think it’s just my neck arthritis which has been acting up past week or so, maybe a pinched nerve in my neck causing my shoulder pain.
BTW how are your neck & shoulder?

TY for show recommendations! Finished Sister Boniface, wasn't too keen on Mallorca Files, saw Death in Paradise before, I started My Life Is Murder but switched to Murdock Mysteries because it's set in early century w/historical charm. Mysteries are always interesting. I'll probably go back to Mallorca & Paradise after Murdock. TY again.

Tax Sunday ~ I was dogsitting this Golden Retriever at 7 months here ~ my DD/SIL adopted "Jackson" at 7 yrs old when her owner developed dementia.

@Sylvester017 thanks for the compliment on my crochet. ❤️ it's definitely my passion haha.
It was mr. Mans turn for a health check, he didn't much enjoy it but when I set him down he stood and watched me.

He's seriously one of the most beautiful chickens I've ever met. The giant fan tail! His babies are going to be stunning.

Now both parents have asked if we can keep this cockerel. I'll admit he's cute, but we have to eat some of these birds! Especially the boys!!! I'm starting to lose hope that any of the chicks are girls other than Biscuit!
Versace sure is gorgeous. I can’t wait to see his offspring.

An yes those big fan tails are lovely.

Mr P used to have a lovely tail and coiffe

Yes I was on back then but we only had them for about 5 months and we had to give them to a friend. Family stuff.
So basically I’m starting all over and we didn’t have any polish chickens then. so I never got to experience all of this integrating and pecking and bullying .
Oooooo beautiful chooks! All of them - and the polish are very fancy ♥️

Thanks for sharing!

Flopsy Update

Flopsy has been out and about most of the day, she was just getting too riled up being contained so I let her out. The boys have been locked away in the run and Mr P and his ladies, with Flopsy, were in the Summer House while I did chores. All afternoon though they have been out in the yard.

She is getting around better, but her hip still makes noise. I have not given her any Tylenol since Thursday, but I have been giving her 1/2 an aspirin at night, and the 1/4 tablet of calcium.

The pumpkin is a big hit with her and the rest of the gang.
As you know injured animals pretend to do what all other animals are doing ~ although Flopsy is picking at the ground she is doing it standing still while healthy animals are walking around while pecking. My feeling is she should not be taken out of isolation no matter what she wants ~ but not my bird :idunno. Keep us posted, the videos are helpful to watch ❤️. So hard to know how to treat w/o Xray ☹️.

Shoulder and neck are good, thanks for asking!

Awww sweet pup - it was so nice of your daughter to adopt him ♥️

So very sorry Marie. I’m sad for myself too. My bi annual physical is next week and I doubt that I can get past the FAA regulations until my health improves.
I feel so sad for your dog. A beloved pet is so hard to let go of. :hugs
He's at peace now Alex.
Here he is just before our last goodbye

I shut my cats in the kitchen and for some reason unbeknownst to me, they somehow managed to get out and sat with us until the end.
My pusscat just hasn't left me since.

The big issue is that she is pacing and racing around the inside of the crate. She will do more damage in there. I am glad she is standing and not walking about, when she is doing that she is resting her leg.

Poor wee lady, but she was more happy out with the gang. She spent a lot of time working on that pumpkin😊
