His feathers are intact, it is the tail itself drooping to the side. Like I said before, he's usually carrying it down and only perks it up once in a while. I've been tucking it to the side because otherwise it hangs out the coop door when I close them in for bed. So I think I injured it last night accidentally.

It's not as drooped this afternoon. View attachment 3980488
This is just after his dirt bath

I'll read the wry tail thread
His tail feathers in the pics seemed very long & straight before. Poor roos have such big tail feathers! I had a Buff Leghorn pullet w/ wry tail that was never straight as a pullet or as an adult.

Alex, that's affirmative for now. My glucose is 3 times what it should be. Once I'm in control of it I can have a couple Miller Lites on a regular basis.
Note to you my friend: try garlic extract tablets and drink water, water, water. It makes a difference in my health. I wouldn’t share if I didn’t care! FYI image.jpg image.jpg

Good heavens... Another hawk attack. This one chased the girls all the way up the driveway and nearly flew into the garage

I think it was a young red shoulder, but I didn't get a good look. Brown above, lighter below, and a good size.

Sheesh, my girls sure are learning quick about hawks! The hawks are making sure of that. I only hope the girls' good luck continues :fl So many attempts in such a short time. They're going to be Olympic sprinters by next year at this rate!
Hawks are very good at what they do. I'm fearful for your ladies. I've had very bad luck with them.
