What happens to one of us affects us all one way or another. The loss of our pets hits us hard. I’m very sympathetic about this.

Everyone, I have chatted with @SimpleJenn and can confirm that all of her chickens have died. She will not be back here for a bit as she deals with the loss. They are in the process of cleaning up by burning all of the bodies. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she deals with this very difficult situation.
We believe it was avian flu as they went so fast. The first passed Sunday and by Friday they are all gone.
Now I have to tell Mrs BY Bob about Versace. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as well. This is going to be very hard for her. Ot as hard as it is for Jenn of course.

Thank you. Jenn is really the one suffering the most. I have been scared of this twice in the past year but I still cannot imagine what she is going through. Just Horrible.![]()

I'm so sorry to hear this, for both you and Jenn.
I might be inclined to not let them free range knowing it is in the area but it's not an easy decision. It is definitely in Western MI.I know there are a couple of us nearby to Jenn, in west Michigan. Not sure if we're in the same county (I don't think so?) but still, with that in mind, should we take more precautions wrt AI? It couldn't hurt either way...
I really am so sad for Jenn. To lose a whole flock so fast like that... It's so heartbreaking. I don't even have words.
Lots of love to Jenn right now. Lots and lots of love![]()

I think at the very least we'll take down the couple bird feeders we still have up. The bird bath, too. Tomorrow, as long as both my dad and I are physically well enough, we're moving the coop into position, and then we can add clutter back to the run. So if we need to keep them inside the run, there will be plenty for them to do.I might be inclined to not let them free range knowing it is in the area but it's not an easy decision. Kelly, I’m devastated by what happened to Jenn’s birds. Mine are so happily dancing around the yard. If I could, I would change places with Jenn . Sadly I can’t.Misses the palindrome
Oh well always next time!
