CD's? Darlin', In the 1950's all I had was a Jr High record player & 33 RPM albums. We had to go to actual mom-&-pop owned "record shops" to buy albums. In 1959 I started adding 45 rpm singles records w/ a separate middle insert so I could play the singles on my player. I was so glad when I finally found a regular radio station that played classical music only! I guess all kids are drawn to music except today's "music" can hardly pass as decent for kids to hear?I love classical music. I have a whole collection of CDs from thrift stores.
My mom grew up in the Thomas Edison/RCA days of hand-crank phonographs Joplin, Prohibition, & the Charleston! But like me she was a nerd & didn't go for her era's music.
