Ok, all you smart and experienced chickeneers. I have something odd going on. Still have birds moulting (they do it in rotations). However, 2 of this year's pullets have joined in: Hyacinth and Rose are both moulting: rumpled feathers, neck/head/tail feathers clearly have new feathers coming. Anyone have experience with this?
I'm having this problem with my Australorps... ?

My knee has been aching the past few days. I was supposed to shovel the porches but I can hardly walk. Guess I'll wheel hubby's computer chair over to the sink and attempt to do dishes while sitting down.

Yesterday's snowman. He's buried in new snowfall now
Try Aleve works great for me.

Also try a brace for it.

Hmmmmm that is odd! Nope I have not had this experience personally.

The first winter I had my chickens, I thought their heads shrank. Nope, just a partial molt around their head/neck when they were 9-10 months old.
I will take a closer look at the kiddos this weekend to see if they are moulting.
