Hi everyone.

Just popping in for a update. I've gotten absolutely zero pictures this week. Weather has NOT cooperated. It has rained nearly every day. My yard is a slippery mud pit. Twice this week while locking everyone up for the night my feet have flew out from under me in the muck and down I have went. I do not want snow, I am not that crazy, but I would not mind a nice hard freeze. Both times I have went down I have been herding cats, err silkies into the coop for the night. Both times George has judged me unfavorably for my clumsiness. It's been a miracle I have not fallen on anyone. Poppet and Turkey are doing great. I know I need to get pictures. They have been given the opportunity during the mornings to leave the coop. Poppet is keeping Turkey inside it and plants herself by the entrance to keep everyone else OUT. I end up shutting the door to the coop during the afternoon when I bring out their "special" snack. I found 2 containers of oatmeal that just went past their expiration date. They love their oatmeal snack each day.

These Eyes....

Here are Hattie's eyes prior to treatment tonight.

Right
She was holding it partly closed but did open it somewhat prior to the antibiotics.

This was how it was the whole time prior to treatment.

During her health check and eye treatment tonight Hattie was a great patient so she was rewarded with all the corn she could eat.

Her craw was empty at 9:00 pm tonight after 4 hours of sleeping so she went back to bed full.

You can see in the video that after treatment her eyes were wide open again.
Good little Hattie. She's letting Dad treat her and now on the mend. :clap

Great work Bob 👏 👍 you did it. :D

I am sending you some arctic air…. Enjoy!

The mud here has froze like cement - the poor horses are taking extreme care walking on the frozen ruts. We only have about an inch of snow so not enough to fill the frozen ruts.

Happy Caturday everyone

Looks like some conjunctivitis, and who knows sometimes what causes it.

But looks like the ointment is doing the trick. My horse Sally had chronic conjunctivitis which would flare up every now and then. Mostly related to her Uveitis (moon blindness in horses). It’s ultimately why I had to put her down, she had a bad episode of sudden blindness. She was panicking and a danger to herself and others.
