Missy would like for the weather to be consistently around 20C (68f) year round, so she can go out and catch squirrels.

She told me to tell you it would be ok to have overnight temps around -5C for about one month over the holidays with morning snow for kiddies to make snowman, but melted by afternoon.
Missy can join the fantasy weather design committee!

Yup! And if she ever goes broody I'm going to let her be broody for a while. We'll have more eggs than we'll know what to do with before we know it, so we can do without a laying hen for a bit if/when that happens.
I am sitting on 17 dozen eggs here.

I average about 14 eggs a day.

No worries my aunt and uncle will take most of them for their families.

None of mine have ever laid a double yolk. I had one in some store eggs this summer, first in at least a decade I think.

Pretty sure Lumi laid her first egg yesterday! She also went walking again of course

That’s great for them! I love your sunroom - I was thinking of doing something like that for n the west side where the doors are, build a sort of covered area that in the summer I can remove the covering. You have given me a great idea for a place to lounge in.

Do you give Brig any pain meds? I have a few here of the oldsters that get something at night.

Did you every figure out what happened to her?
