STRAW!
we are expecting a lot of snow today so i have the girls a pile of straw to play in. I think this video of them playing in the straw is interesting. I took video from 2 cameras at the same time. One is an older camera with no sound. Enjoy watching the girls at work.

Hattie was in the coop cuddled up next to a heater.

I order it from tractor supply. My local one never has it but I can get it delivered. Let me know if you want details.

Has anybody ever kept track of laying streaks? Sybil has laid an egg 52 days in a row!

I used to track every day. There is a thread here to do so. I could go back and look but I do remember that Daisy, the greatest hen ever, once laid 360 eggs in one calendar year. She had some pretty long streaks that year, obviously.

They must take care which seeds end up in there. Or maybe it's certified weed free because they expect the chickens to eat em all before they sprout
