This is not going well. I started looking for orps, 5 minutes into it I was falling deeper down the "I want this silkie" rabbit hole. Somehow towards the end I was also looking for Marans. It dawned on me that in 2 weeks Holly my oldest will be 5 and my youngest is already 2 coming up on 3.

What am I supposed to be looking for again....right orps.
I am safe from getting more chicks, I wrote asking Peavey if they were still going to get chicks - big nope!

But that means I can live vicariously through everyone else by enabling them 😁

Now let’s see what else do I want…. Dark Brahma, R Orloff, Exchequer…..

Don't forget the Spitzhaubens, chantecler, brabanter, houdan, wyandottes, and pavlovskaya...

Girls were out for a bit because it's a sweltering 34⁰F with a refreshing windchill (14mph) of 25⁰. :lau And it's sunny! Of course, I had to herd them all back into the run, again.

Just noticed this while they were out. Frostbite? Picking? Mites (I haven't seen any though)?

The light was perfect for showing her gold(?) lacing(?), and the black leakage(?) in that feather.

Could be a very light touch of frostbite - best to leave it alone and it will resolve itself one way or another. Same treatment for frostbite and pecking!

You wistfully swept me away for a few moments w/your interesting village residents lives' & your beautiful scenic valley & hills ❣️

Your Gaston & Chipie look like one of the varieties of Dutch Bantams. There are 12 recognized color varieties in the American Bantam Association! Dutch Bantams are true bantams. There is no standard size counterpart for the Dutch Bantam.

This picture shows a Dutch Bantam looks similar to your Chipie (on the left)

Come to think of it. I'll do the same! Live thru others while I myself don't have to clean more poops or buy more feed❣️
