If you ever get want a Leghorn I'd reccomend the Exchequers. She doesn't lay 365 days and takes a long break from laying.

Update on the Stop Pick product.

Consensus is with those bad girls, is that it’s very tasty with blood feathers.

The stuff stinks and I am sure it doesn’t taste all that great but it doesn’t stop them from picking at him.

They are quite vicious about it also, they grab hold and just whale on the poor fella! They practically drag him across the floor to haul out a blood feather!

As a result he is banned forever from having those brats in with him.

Such horrid behavior. Even Aurora doesn't do that!

I keep hearing Mr Wyandottey out in the yard crowing. And when I go out, he comes strolling on up, as if to say “well, where’s my treat this time?” I have cut back on treats for all the birds for a while.
Now maybe twice a day only.
Yeah, I’m such a mean person

Hope everyone is having a lovely Monday.
I took a tumble on the ice. Nothing injured but my pride. Guys came to deal with some dead branches and they turned their big truck into a sled.
It is nasty out there with more on the way.
I showed my ladies the pictures of @Ponypoor’s eggs by way of encouragement.
At first I thought Pooh was interested. Then I realized I was holding a dinner roll in my hand and that was what had her attention. She looks completely different after her molt. Really lovely dark waistcoat/vest.
Here is her mugshot. Both she and Piglet - rushing over to get some dinner roll - are pink in the face but showing no interest in nest boxes.
Ever the optimist I am ordering 20% layer feed for when I run out of feed next week.

I don't have a mugshot to share, but I did have one hen come up asking what I was doing pointing my phone at them. Most of them were way too busy with treats.

This is Girly Girl, who will be 7 in April.
