I don't know about Tassels or Piglet but I know Silkies share sleeping together, laying eggs together, brooding together ~ & altho I never hatched chicks other Silkie owners said they had Silkie mommas set on the same eggs & co-parent the hatched babies.

Silkies are a sharing bunch:

I have found my two sisters will set together and have raised chicks together as co-broodies.

But I gave Curly babies last summer and her sister didn’t assist.

It sure was a nice day in our state, wasn't it, Bob?
I'm looking forward to more nicer weather. Not specifically 80 degree weather, but nice and sunny.
For everyone: the chickens had some fun outside today. Well, Grandma would rather sit and pluck flowers and other various plants in that black crate. The others decided to enjoy the plants in the crate as well.

It sure was. Hattie was wandering all over the yard like she was 4 years younger today. It was wonderful.

Leghorns can be quite loud. My orpingtons trend to be quiet ladies. My polish have always been pretty quiet as well.
Agreed - Laverne is very quiet and 2 of my Buff Orps are quiet - Goldie not so much.

Noisiest are a toss-up - my silkies can be very noisy, Mrs LC sounds rather maniacal with her 'laugh-like' cackles, and the barnyard mutts also are noisy.

My Azur Blue are actually quieter than the other lots.

It's wonderful seeing our older ladies out and about isn't it? Poor Red has been hunkered down under the Sweeter Heater it's so damp and miserable. But when we had that nice weather a while back she was like Hattie - out and about!
