I finally figured this out. Your phone's autocorrupt function replaced "mend" with "menu", right? This was a bit disturbing at first...
I was wondering if anyone else noticed - I didn’t want to incur any SHRA tax!

But….. we are all on the chooks menu - eyes are a favourite! And Jenn may be missing a finger it seems!

Should Have Read Ahead (SHRA) tax:

Ok. He's a little darling....and silkies are popular. Hatching eggs might be a good thing

Oh I did think about it for about a minute. But nope not gonna happen. I only have Georgie laying these days. The other silkies are pretty much done laying.

If I need to raise silkie chicks I have a Roo for that - Clyde. He can breed Georgie fine as she is not frizzled, and Holly too, if she turns out to be a pullet. I don’t need any more Roos.

And of course that is why I wouldn’t hatch eggs anyways. The Roo Risk.

I am waiting to hear from my niece in regards to hatching this year in their school. If she asks I will get some Brahma eggs from a local breeder for her to hatch for me. They have Lemon and Dark Brahma.

Good morning all

Jolly was doing this yesterday morning, but didn’t have my camera then.

Oh dear. He is adorable though. Surely someone would want him?And one of yours in the background has a lovely melodic crow.
:love

Ugh. I shook myself out of my laziness and did some work in the yard. Mainly around improving the chicken environment.
The result of this? I have blood running down my arms (mine not chicken blood) and I am covered in ticks.

Omg.

Have you got any Tumeric oil?Ticks hate it!
I've smothered Nancy in this because this sun and coming rain, is perfect conditions for ticks

Yes I know Turmeric oil is good at preventing attachment and I have a shampoo with it for me.
Do be careful with Nancy - you know many essential oils as well as having beneficial effects are toxic particularly to dogs and cats.

I am so sorry about Jolly, I know you wanted 2 pullets. I promise you Holly is a pullet.

I do not need another cockerel. I really do not. If you were closer and the whole Canadian border crossing were not a thing....I would take him in a heartbeat. Actually I would take both Holly and Jolly, and send you home with 2 or 3 dozen silkie eggs from my flock. You could bring in some new colors and genetic diversity. Plus, Poppet eggs....well...she is a pullet producer so there is that.

2 things I detest: 1) Autocorrect that thinks it knows my mind & 2) Insurance approval/denials that think they know more than my doctors
