Yes I know Turmeric oil is good at preventing attachment and I have a shampoo with it for me.
Do be careful with Nancy - you know many essential oils as well as having beneficial effects are toxic particularly to dogs and cats.

I got a new pair of "house shoes" today. Skechers "hands free" slip ons. I have a pair of house shoes, but I have to straighten the thing behind the heel every time I put them on. These hands free shoes were designed for just my issue!

Oh, and I had to buy men's size 10. Yeah, I have BIG feet!

They look so happy in the new grass & dirt bath area I learned recently that it's a normal practice for chickens to pick debris/dirt out of their dustbathing companions' feathers like your Wyandotte was doing to her dusty friends
