Hatch update.

I am still chick-less. I was actually starting to worry a smidge. I'm good now though. While I cannot find any visible pips...and I just shone my flash light on all the eggs and stared at them until I went cross-eyed, 1 of the eggs rolled really good. Things are starting to happen finally. Here's hoping I wake up in the morning to at least a external pip.

Wow nothing yet?! Ok well I will check in later with fingers crossed! I am excited and living vicariously through all of you with wee ones

This evening will be lockdown for my eggs! I am going to try the egg carton hatch method again, it keeps the mess contained and prevents the chicks from rolling each other over as they hatch.

That said, say a prayer if you feel led to...my allergic hives are back and worse than before so I'll be heading into urgent care to see what they think. All this push to natural ingredients has companies using citrus in everything which I am highly allergic to. Yuck

Kiddo and Marble last night. He does not pay her much attention, he trusts the fence will keep everyone safe.

George is 3/4 Polish and 1/2 silkie as a reminder.

Bet every man/male would love to be thought of that way!!! ('more than a man' /'1 & 1/4' of a man, etc.)

Glad George meets your expectations so far - as expanded as they are!

Obviously, I didn't see it, but I can just picture him latching onto the tail - then being flung! so brave! (or foolish - young, love struck, hormonal males can be foolishly brave at times! Isn't it endearing, though?)

Somewhere in the pile of chooks on the right side upper ledge I am hoping Clyde is still there. As it is I count 6 crammed up there with him. Meanwhile the other side has 3 - the old girls Raven, Blanche and a Sophia. No one else dares to roost with them!
