Tonight they all went into the coop, no questions asked. Probably because I found CeeCee outside the large gated parameter . I did quite a bit of yelling and she flew back over my six foot fence and then over the four foot gate heading towards the coop. True, if I was a chook, I’d be very afraid at that point and not lay eggs for a few days. :barnie
Oh you have a ‘Tippy’ also I see. And now she seems to have trained Jaffarra to also make an escape over onto my neighbours place.

Then of course Mr LC feels he has to absolutely go and keep them safe. At this point I just chase The girls back, Mr LC comes running after them.

Brats! And then there is Laverne who thinks it’s her mission to run to the far back paddock right up against the back bush, that’s where the lions and tigers live! Sophia ran all the way down the small paddock and I had to go encourage her to go back to Mount Poopmore.

I get a lot of exercise….

Awwww! For a moment I thought Buttercup had flown the coop for California 😊 what a beauty!

She most certainly is related to Buttercup who is another of my escape artists. But at 4yrs of age she has mellowed and only flies over the fence a few times a week, not daily.

I was thinking the same thing! It also seems that they have different personalities (chickenalities?) so that will help.
They definitely have different personalities.

Nimue is calm, confident, cautious, yet unafraid.

Niamh is high energy, curious, easily spooked, and pretty darn smart.
