It is a "portable dog pen" but yeah, it's basically a tent.

Yes I think mine was sold as a dog pen. My only issue is finding a table big enough for it to sit on.

Heaven help me, what the *#@##^ have I done??

So our power went out at 4am yesterday, and we were having trouble with our generator. So after we took care of the animals we went to store since we needed some more supplies to put the new netting over the runs, and I couldn’t work anyway until we had power and internet. Of course we ended up needing something at TSC.

I had sworn I was not getting any more chicks this year. That the 15 I ended up with was enough. That there was only ONE breed I would get if I saw it, and ONLY if it was sexed pullets.

Can you guess what these are?? And somehow I ended up getting 5 instead of just 4.

Tried putting them under a hen that had been broody for about 4 weeks. Failure in the first attempt, so they are back in the brooder. Don’t know if I will try again tomorrow, or see if Indifo wants to take them since she has been acting like her chicks are old enough and don’t need her anymore. Had been trying to get back in the mini coop where she raised them, like she is broody again already.

She taught them to roost Thursday night.

Okay, so this just showcases how little difference there is because I can't tell at all. They truly are impossible to tell by looks it seems. Well, I will just stop my guessing, hope for the best, and wait for eggs or a crow.

That was my assessment too, though I thought experienced Silkie people would be able to see tell-tale signs in the pics even if I couldn’t!

It was IMHO a really good night. The audience loved it as much as I did.

There's an Eagles tribute band I would love to see next month, but no one wants to go. I might bite the bullet and have something to eat before the show and go on my own. Then arrange for a taxi home. People I know are so stuck in their way's. They don't like shows. Well I do and I want to live

The Eagles are great, do it! Even a tribute band is worth watching.

I love Robins
I'm so sad to read this

Our American Robins are a larger bird than you have over there, and are a type of wood thrush.

They tend to go in small flocks in the Fall. And hang out in the bush.

OMG how eggciting! More babies! Love it. So glad you got them - chocolate Orps? I take it? Gosh lovely! So jealous, we just don’t have the options up here for all those types of chooks now that Peavy Mart is gone (and just as well I don’t really need more!).
