Run Improvements

I have been on “vacation” all week, and we got some improvements made to the chicken and duck runs.

Tired of having to duck or have our hats knocked off by the “low side” of the netting over the run, plus wanted to extend it over the duck run. So we built a big frame about 8” tall to hang it all the way across.

Sunshade tarp added. Used shade cloth this time, for more air movement and so it doesn’t fill up with water when it rains. It’s held on by a total of 20 tie downs, so hopefully will handle wind without the eyelets ripping out so easy.

Also finally got the blocks around the “duck pond” to help prevent mud and erosion. Had some gravel down but this will help even more.

Great job on the chicken run! & the duck pond is too too gorgeous... how do you clean/drain it cuz ducks muddy new water in less than a minute?!

They always look so sad when they are moulting don't they. But I always tell them, don't worry soon you will be gloriously resplendent once again.
I get excited every time Lady Featherington molts. I can wait to see how many spots she will get!

I imagine Aster will be the same.

The language on the bottle - looks dutch to me, at first I thought german but my Vet is german and I have seen stuff he has written.

I am going to check into this stuff - bet I can get at least most of mine to partake of a pill in some bread!
I cut the pills in half to get them into the noodle. This batch are much bigger than the last. A long as they swallow the food whole it works easily. They never know!

I never paid attention. The last batch I got came in a box with English on it.

Shadrach recommended this to me years ago. Apparently it is popular in Europe as a wormer.

I missed out on caturday.
Little Oliver yesterday morning.
I'm hoping to get his neutering done soon.
I'm praying someone will adopt him after it's done. There's a lady trying to help us. She's a nurse and runs a small cat rescue. Just neutering and trying to rehome them. She's a very special lady. 💕

Hahaha even poor Mr LC is having issues in the wind - is it mean that I laugh at them?
No it's not. Trust me they laugh at you all the time.
