What Will They Look Like?

The chicks @jaricas19 got now look like this.

They are buff orpington and barred rock crosses. @rural mouse any thoughts on what they will look like when full grown?

Also, I see 2 boys for sure. What does everyone else think?
1 & 4 are cockerels. 3 might be also...and is not a buff orp x barred rock. The white (silver) would show in a sex-link type cross if done right, however, a barred rock crossed with a buff orp (roo x hen or hen x roo) will produce single barred birds (roo x hen: all offspring barred, possible gold leakage) or gold pullets and barred cockerels (hen x roo: gold pullets, barred cockerels possibly with gold leakage, also barred).

5. Looks more like a buff orp x black australorp. Keep an eye on the shoulders. If a rusty red tone appears, it's a cockerel too. Comb is in the can't quite tell either way stage.

2. Looks light enough to be a gold x silver cross (gold roo, silver hen)

6 and 2 are definitely pullets. Could be split to something, could be barred hen crossed with buff orp roo but not other way around.

Pretty birds, leakage is going to make them even more interesting

So many mixed breeds, I’m getting mixed up, trying to follow this thread.

I needed a nice cup of Coco this afternoon. She’s doing great considering her damaged foot.
She’s just chatting away to me, and purring up a storm. I think she’s in that last egg laying twilight time of her life. You peeps call it Henopause if I’m correct. View attachment 4149854
Oops, how did this copy my previous post?

Rather expensive chicks though (fuel, etc!!).

I drove all the way to Carrying Place for 10 chicks from a hatchery here. An almost 4 hr drive one way!

Pricey chicks!
In my old age I would chalk up the expense of a drive or a flight as a vacation expense. In retirement a drive once in a while is a refreshing outing... win-win if it's to pickup birds 😄

I cleaned the coops, put pine straw in the nest boxes with decoy eggs. I just went to check them and Breezy has stolen the decoy eggs for the bare-floor nests he's built on the coop floor. Well, I guess it's fair because he's a big guy and wouldn't be comfy in the nest boxes. Wait till he finds out about the maternity suite in the tall coop! He could fit in there no problem!
He doesn't go into the tall coop, either he isn't comfortable with the high ramp or it's out of respect for Marble sleeping there.
