Buckeyes have beefy legs and thighs, maybe this pic shows them a bit. They have a box of dirt back there but for now they prefer the light hemp bits to dig in, I suspect it’s easier to get a good hole going!

Below, one of the other set of "twins", one of the twins with currently dark ear feathering. One of them, Shai, is our likely tribe leader. She is way bigger and taller than everyone else and for now has the darkest ear coverts. I’ll try to get a pic of her with the others. I actually think this is not Shai but her twin.
Shai wins every chest-bump, fly-leap-at and stare-down, and is very shy with me (thus the name). Working on that; she will perch on my hand & arm, but only once everyone else is on. She tends to look around and above everyone else, then settle down last.

This is one of the twin cream-feathered ear chicks, very light colored. One of them is also quite friendly and relatively calm, and reminds me of Butters when she was young. Again I am still telling these guys apart. But when she looks at me all steady-like, I think “Isabel”.

Little Brow taking a bite. See the crumble in her beak tip?
