That needs to go in POW!! (And caption contest) ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
It really is a hilarious picture. And what I can’t get over is how come @ChicoryBlue has chickens that bathe in their bath.
Mine ignore anything I provide and dig a hole where the fancy takes them.

Shan started a new bathing area...up between the inner row of trees and the fenced garden...

Looks like a great spot.
The bathing areas I have issue with are the ones right in my path when I need to do chores.
Am I supposed to wait until they are done? Is it OK to step over them? Do they expect me to make a new path for myself? They have not made these things clear to me!

Well she is certainly enjoying her chicken life.
It is a bit hard to tell but it doesn’t look like a cornea issue - looks like swelling around the eye.
Remind me, what did the vet end up concluding?
I haven't noticed her surrounding tissue is swollen, will look again, it's not like Hazel's was....The vet didn't diagnose her, just said her heart rate seemed normal but fast (compared to Brow, a very calm chick) and noted the dozing, and said to watch for bullying and protect her. For Hazel, the main reason for her visit, she said to let the respiratory disease take its course but treat her eyes with Terramycin.

That straight on shot, looks like they're close to the same size. Are both eyes bulgy or is she growing into the one, or is the camera deceptive?
To me they are both bulgy, with one bigger than the other. She hasn't grown into them as far as I can tell.

Chickens often just step into the fray, everybody objects, then resume their business!

So the bagpipes are crowded in front of the window (which Fenix DID NOT LIKE) and the birds?

Three bagpipes not quite big enough for the rafter flight...

Thankfully nobody pooped at bedtime check-in. I wish I had electrical out there to run a fan...
I don't have electric for my coops/runs, but I have a couple rechargeable fans that I have been using in this heat. 2 recharge, 2 use rechargeable batteries that I can swap out (they are dewalt fans that use the tool batteries. Similar to this, but before the merger - and I bought them on sale with battery packs.) My Dewalts have a handle on the top I can hang them from with a plant extended hook, and the rechargable ones are smaller and have a hook & a clamp so I can set them up. I use the dewalts during the day over prime daytime roosts, and the other two in the warmer coops at night when super hot - they don't blow as hard (are smaller), but still create air movement/flow for the hot evenings.

I got all of. my fans on super sales - just have to watch - maybe at the end of the season, so you will have them for next year. The deWalts can also be plugged in, so if I ever get electricity out there, can still use them directly plugged in!

Dad: I said bed, now!
Kids: Okay, but we need our night time hugs & kisses, first (chest rubs)
